Committed to the Health and Safety of Our Residents

At Cornerstone Court, the health and safety of our residents and staff are more important than anything else. We've implemented the following precautions to reduce the spread of Covid-19 and protect those in our care.

Success! — The last positive test among our residents was September 12, 2020.

Our Covid-19 Precautions

• Frequent temperature checks — Every staff member begins their shift with a temperature check. Our residents' temperatures are checked daily, and any essential visitors are checked. This information is recorded and reported to our nurses.
• Covid-19 testing — COVID testing changes frequently based on the transmission rate in the community. We complete frequent testing of staff and test residents if symptoms appear. We have the capability to conduct testing with results as quick as 15 minutes. We do not require negative test moving into the community. Guidance states testing not recommended for new admissions. Residents that are vaccinated will not require any isolation/quarantine process. Residents that are unvaccinated will undergo a 14 day isolation/quarantine assuming not symptoms present.
• Personal protective equipment — PPE changes per transmission rates in the county. Currently healthcare workers are required to wear face mask and face shield when providing cares closer than 6 feet to a resident. Visitors are only required to wear face mask. Residents will wear face masks as tolerated. 
• Social distancing — We require our staff to maintain at least six feet of distance between them and our residents whenever possible. We've limited the number of people who can gather in small areas, and our staff takes breaks and eats meals in a room not shared by our residents. We encourage our residents to practice social distancing.
• Disinfecting — Common surfaces such as railings, door handles, light switches, remote controls, tabletops, armrests, etc. are disinfected every four hours. Common areas such as living rooms, kitchens, and bathrooms are deep cleaned and disinfected daily.
